Fire Ant Control

The red imported fire ant (RIFA) is prevalent in South Carolina and is found in all 46 counties of the state.  Fire ants are aggressive and attack when disturbed.  They release venom while stinging with their back stinger.  Hundreds of worker ants may attack at the same time if a nest is disturbed.  The stings are painful and scratching them can lead to secondary infections.  Fire ants form distinctive mounds in gardens, lawns, or near homes and buildings.  Stone’s Pest Services offers pest control solutions to eliminate fire ant infestation.  We apply insecticide in the form of granules to the entire yard and also perform spot treatments on all visible fire ant mounds.
